Kenmare Manor House

If, at first, you don't succeed, stick to your high standards. We have secured lodging in Ireland that we are delighted about! It is a beautifully appointed mid-19th-century manor situated on 60 acres of private grounds featuring a 15th-century castle ruin and a vast number of walking trails dotted with benches for rest or quiet meditation. The house was built overlooking the castle, which was destroyed by its occupants (the O'Sullivan Mór clan) in the mid-seventeenth century to avoid its capture by Oliver Cromwell and his army. A kilometer-and-a-half-long trail leads to the river for those who like to exercise. Weather permitting, we’ll consider a bayside cocktail hour or picnic one evening.

I am delighted with the kitchen and know Cass, and I will turn out some delicious meals. Plus, I have identified the best private chef in the valley for our opening night celebration.
